The posted compensation range of $39.18 - $58.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Behavioral Health Clinician, you will help our patients and their families feel comfortable and educated when they’re in the clinic so they can receive effective treatments and support during vulnerable times.
Every day, you will conduct initial intake assessments and evaluations, provide crisis intervention services when needed, and assist in the detection of high-risk patients. You will be expected to build trust by advocating, supporting, and educating your patients and their families, noticing differences in patient health and behavior, and offering linkages and referrals to appropriate services.
To be successful in this role, you must possess empathy and patience, be able to work independently and be self-directed, and have a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment methods, adherence to W & I Codes, and professional and ethical behavior at all times.
Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in an appropriate behavioral science discipline
- Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, Associate Clinical Social Worker, or Psychological Assistant
- You must possess the following knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- DSM 5. Psychology of children and adolescents. Cultural and ethnic diversities of clients. Community resources. Treatment interventions. Normal and abnormal psychology. Assessment skills and crisis intervention. Treatment planning and intervention skills. Ethical and legal issues. Billing and documentation requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain an appropriate balance between direct client contact and documentation time
- Adhere to all client confidentiality requirements and standards
- Manage significant electronic paperwork functions necessary to support billing
- Ability to manage the caseload and schedule to maximize productivity
- Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis situations. Skills in building groups
- Additionally, you will develop treatment/intervention plans with a multi-discipline team
- Monitor for medication and treatment interventions, consultation, case management of children and adolescents, and linkage and referral services
- Be able to travel to multiple sites as required
