MRI Technologist
The posted compensation range of $30.55 - $44.30 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
As our MRI Technologist at CHI St. Alexius Health in Williston, you’ll be responsible for operating MRI equipment and creating scans as per the physicians' directions, screening patients and explaining procedures to them, and inspecting and troubleshooting equipment. You should be able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and also train junior MRI technologists.
To be successful as an MRI technologist, you should have sound knowledge of human anatomy and MRI safety procedures. Outstanding MRI technologists will be highly analytical and able to explain complex information clearly.

Responsibilities
- Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding, and knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
- Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
- Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS.
- Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
- Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the department
- Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
- Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
Required Licensure and Certifications
- MRAD:ND
- BLS-CPR
- ARMRIT or ARRT
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- Strong oral communications skills
- Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
