Overview

Directs the operational, financial, personnel, and planning activities of MedQuest.  Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization.  This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.


Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing managerial oversight and leadership for MedQuest.  This includes; recruitment, on-boarding, managing performance, goal setting and measurement, and ongoing communication.
  • Manage budget and fiscal responsibility to ensure positive and consistent alignment of balancing patient/customer needs, outcomes, and compliance and safety with productivity guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements including that staff is appropriately licensed/certified and taking corrective action for non-compliance as needed
  • Evaluates work flow activities to ensure patient care, staff relations and efficiency of services.
  • Collaborates with system leadership, local leadership, and providers, as required to ensure communications and relationships
  •  Oversight of all sales, installation, and servicing of non-commercial Handicap access and power mobility service lines
  • Able to step in to assist staff in response to work load or staffing demands.


Qualifications

Required Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment and three (3) years of leadership experience.
    • *May consider candidate with Associate’s degree and minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment and five (5) years of leadership experience.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience
    • OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline
    • OR Master’s Degree and no experience

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Established leadership skills
  • Knowledge of coaching and mentoring practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload
  • Ability to deal tactfully with all internal and external customers
  • Ability to be flexible and work harmoniously with co-workers, patients/families, and physicians

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Experience installing and maintaining medical durable equipment preferred
