Inventory Specialist
The posted compensation range of $15.56 - $21.40 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Duties include management of inventory as it relates to picking products, replenishing, and requisitioning within the Perioperative Services units. Duties are not limited to the supply room, but extend to all areas of the hospital. Responsible for pulling products for cases as assigned. Monitors and assures inventory levels meet demand tracking usage & setting inventory levels for specific group of products, in support of PAR & Perpetual locations. Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CommonSpirit Health.
- Maintain and restock inventory by rotating stock, labeling bins, generating orders, and ensuring accurate supply levels to support patient care.
- Distribute medical supplies and equipment to designated patient care areas promptly and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage par levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, adjusting as necessary and maintaining clean, organized storage locations.
- Identify and address inventory issues, including excess or outdated stock, processing returns/credits, and managing consigned inventory and bill-only items.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., reprocessing, clinical staff, buyers) to optimize use of reprocessed products and support Perioperative Services.
- Participate in inventory processes, including put-away, validation, annual counts, and point-of-use system updates and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of supply chain or inventory management experience, Required.
