The posted compensation range of $33.40 - $50.55 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Join our team as an Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). In our Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist role, you will assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized Cardiovascular procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
$4.75/hr Cath Lab Differential Applies upon hire.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- One year of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience, preferred. Special procedures experience, preferred
- A graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science or Graduate of a accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology also acceptable-required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI; OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES); OR RRT with post primary certification of Cardiac-Interventional Radiography through ARRT required
- Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technologist Certification upon hire unless performing SA duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only) required
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 Months of Hire

At St. Anthony North Hospital, one of our proud Magnet® designated hospitals, the Cardiac Cath Lab consists of two rooms. We average 155 Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology cases per month including ablations. Our patient population is comprised of cardiac patients with acute CAD, CHF, Peripheral Vascular disease and Cardiac arrythmias. We have a patient-centered department and a standardized cardiac delivery model across the inpatient and outpatient continuum. Our primary focus is on patient experience, process improvement and serving more patients in our community. The team has specialized training in invasive monitoring, removal of plaque with invasive procedures, measurements of vessels and cardiac life-saving support with cardiac support devices and machines. The team performs diagnostic procedures, restorative procedures, device implantation, heart rhythm restoration and emergent procedures that are all related to cardiac arteries and vessels. Our team is desirable because of the culture, fully-staffed department, practical call schedule, growing department, upcoming new EP procedures and a new EP/Cath Suite with dedicated cardiac pre/post unit teams. We look for candidates that have go-getter attitudes, good critical thinking skills and are patient-centered.
