Occupational Health Technician
The posted compensation range of $18.42 - $28.04 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

The Occupational Health Technician is responsible for scheduling and performing key occupational health regulatory and on-boarding tasks. These include pre-employment processing, drug testing,
respirator fit testing, color blindness screening, record review, in addition to performing administrative functions such as documenting in an electronic health record, record management, filing, report
generation, spreadsheets and graphs. Responsible for managing phone volume and walk-in office traffic while providing excellent customer service and representing the Occupational Health
department. May involve travel or remote support for geographical team. Follows the direction of the RN Occupational Health Coordinator in performing various OH functions. Will be tasked with other
assignments to meet the demands/expectations of the organization.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- High School or Diploma/G.E.D. required
- 4 years or greater of advanced secretarial, or 1 year or greater of Business Support/clinical office management experience or medical assisting/nurse’s aide experience in a clinic setting
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language
- Must have advanced word-processing skills, excel, spreadsheets, graphs, power point or similar software, etc.
- Demonstrates proficiency with standard office equipment and software programs.
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
