Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Electrician Senior, you will perform high-level installation, maintenance, and repair work on electrical systems, appliances, and devices. You will ensure that all projects strictly adhere to regulatory standards, guaranteeing the long-term reliability and safety of the facility's electrical infrastructure.

Every day, you will execute Journeyman-level electrical tasks while also performing general maintenance duties, such as drywall patching, minor plumbing, and equipment safety testing. You will proactively manage these systems to prevent disruptions and ensure a safe, fully functional environment for all staff and visitors.

To be successful in this role, you will leverage your expertise to mentor and coach apprentice electricians and other facilities staff. Your ability to balance complex technical repairs with versatile general maintenance support will be essential in fostering a collaborative team and maintaining operational excellence.

  • Install, repair, and test complex electrical circuits, lighting, and life safety systems while ensuring all work strictly adheres to industry codes and regulatory standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to accurately compute service requirements, manage materials, and complete installations or remodels on schedule.
  • Perform comprehensive inspections and maintenance on electrical infrastructure and life safety components, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency exits.
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff and contractors, providing technical leadership, directing daily resources, and ensuring all work meets facility quality and safety requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation within the Computer Maintenance Management System, including work orders, equipment logs, and regulatory compliance reports.
  • Prioritize urgent requests, troubleshoot facility issues, and provide on-call support to minimize downtime and ensure excellent service for staff and guests.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Valid state Driver’s License
  • Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred

  • Current state Master Electrician License
  • Seven (7) years of experience in general electrical maintenance Hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience
  • Previous leadership experience
