The posted compensation range of $52.15 - $73.01 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our VP Patient Care Services, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating of all Patient Services activities. This will be executed in a manner entirely consistent with the philosophy of CommonSpirit Health. Through these critical activities, you will develop and maintain an environment highly conducive to delivering exceptional quality patient care.
Every day you will actively collaborate with the medical staff and other department leaders to establish and achieve vital organizational objectives. You will also play a key role in participating in the ongoing development of general hospital goals, policies, and procedures, ensuring that our patient care services remain at the forefront of healthcare excellence.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate visionary leadership and strategic acumen in fostering an environment of patient-centered care. Your ability to effectively manage complex operations, build strong collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization, and drive continuous improvement in patient care delivery, while upholding the CommonSpirit Health philosophy, will be paramount.
- Develops goals and objectives for Clinical Services Departments and ensures accomplishment.
- Organizes and manages the functioning of clinical departments through approved organizational structure and delegation of duties.
- Approves policies and procedures pertaining to the operations of clinical departments according to the “broad guidelines from the President”.
- Interacts with President, Executive Team and department managers to formulate policies, budgets, long range plans, and other important matters affecting the organization.
- Provides info as requested in the preparation of operating and capital budgets for responsible departments on an annual basis and ensures compliance with the budget by means of periodic monitoring.
- Implements operational controls to ensure the effective and efficient utilization of the physical, financial and human resources of clinical departments.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a closely related field is a prerequisite.
- A Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration (with a healthcare emphasis), or a related advanced degree is also required.
- Leadership is 5 years+. 7-10 years as a nurse. Critical Access experience preferred.
