Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a key member of our Food Services team, you will lead the preparation of high-quality, safe, and delicious meals for patients, staff, and visitors within our healthcare facility. This role involves diligently following safe cooking techniques, preparing meals for diverse therapeutic diets, and ensuring strict compliance with all state and federal food preparation regulations. You'll also play an integral part in supporting quality control measures, including consistent recipe adherence and food quality, and will assist in the oversight of staff to maintain operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Champions food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
- Prepares and serves food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements, using required kitchen utensils and equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, fryers, steamers, stove tops, and grills, etc. Modifies preparations to account for food allergies.
- Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment, and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines.
- Performs washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas.
- Other duties as assigned by the leader.
Job Requirements
Required
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in food services or one (1) years of hospital experience preferred.
- FHP ANSI approved or ServSafe Manager ND
Preferred
- Associate’s Degree; or two (2) years of equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of the Associate’s degree.
