This job would be perfect for a:
- Nursing Student currently enrolled in a BSN or ADN program and has completed at least 1 nursing clinical

Responsibilities
Expectations:
- Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours in a two week period (i.e. 4 hour, 8 hour or 12 hour shifts)
- Provide a variety of routine tasks and direct patient care to support our patients and our clinical teams
- Performs phlebotomy and 12 lead EKGs as permitted on the assigned unit
- Removes urinary catheters and saline locks
- Answer call lights and unit phone to assist with questions and concerns from patients and family members
- Communicate, monitor and document pertinent patient information
- Assist with admission, transfers, transporting, lifting, and discharge of patients
- Perform hourly rounding and respond promptly to patients, families, and clinical team requests
- Work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment
- Assist in organization, cleaning, and safety of the unit and patient rooms

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Has completed at least one clinical rotation in nursing school
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (with verification of enrollment and status)
