Sterile Processing Technician I
The posted compensation range of $13.72 - $18.87 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Participates in routine cleaning activities (i.e. sterilizers, surface areas, storage carts, etc.)
- Transports and decontaminates all soiled instrumentation and equipment to a state of cleanliness, disinfection and disposes of all infectious items
- Assures accuracy in the assembly and packaging of instrumentation, special trays and equipment for sterilization
- Performs all steam, sterrad, and ethylene oxide sterilization activities
- Labels, incubates, logs, and documents all biological indicators
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CRCST preferred
- One (1) Year of applicable experience, determined by facility –OR-Successful completion of a Sterile Processing Tech or Surgical Tech Program from an accredited school.
