Physical Therapist Assistant
The posted compensation range of $31.00 - $31.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Administers therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities according to the physical therapy plan of care
- Instructs, motivates and Assists patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre‐ambulation, transfer,
ambulation and daily living activities - Observes patients during treatments, Assesses, and compiles data on patients’ responses to treatments and progress
and reports verbally or in writing to the physical therapist; may communicate updates to physicians - Fit patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive
devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from an approved program for Physical Therapist Assistants
- Current Texas State Licensure (PTA)
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Graduates eligible for licensure will be considered

As our Physical Therapist Assistant atSt. Luke’s Health - Woodlands, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you’ll help our patients
suffering from injuries or disease improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
Daily you will performs components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by a supervising physical therapist.
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders.
