The posted compensation range of $12.00 - $14.51 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services diagnostic imaging women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies) neurosciences pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery pathology and pulmonary services and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.
As our Nutrition Assistant Lead, you will lead the daily operations of Nutrition Assistants and nutrition support to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.
Every day, you will oversee those who provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to help promote their health and healing. You will ensure that the team follows the standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the healthcare food service industry, which includes monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. You will collaborate with the facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities
- Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production.
- Trains new and existing employees to follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Oversees food preparation and service to ensure the guidelines of menu and dietary requirements are met.
- Assists team members in applying organizational procedures and protocols to reduce the occurrence of errors related to dietary guidelines.
- Assesses training progress and provides constructive feedback for improved performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four (4) years of food service experience; including two (2) years hospital nutrition experience.
- A Food Handlers Permit is required as outlined below:
