Wound-Enterostomal Coordinator Nurse
Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse dedicated to improving the lives of patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs? Do you thrive on empowering patients through education and expert care? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Wound-Enterostomal Coordinator Nurse!
In this vital role, you will provide acute and rehabilitative care for patients with disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. You will be a champion for your patients, guiding them towards independence and self-care through expert education, counseling, and compassionate support.
As a Wound-Enterostomal Coordinator Nurse, you will:
- Develop and Implement Personalized Care Plans: Create, implement, and modify individualized plans of care for wound, ostomy, and continence patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Empower Patients Through Education: Serve as the primary patient educator, providing comprehensive instruction and support to patients and their families on ostomy care, wound management, and continence strategies.
- Be a Trusted Resource: Serve as a consultant in your areas of expertise for our organization and the wider community, sharing your knowledge and promoting best practices.
- Drive Positive Change: Contribute to research and administration within the specialty of Enterostomal (ET), Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) nursing.
- Maintain Meticulous Documentation: Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with established standards.

- Possesses a deep understanding of patient care standards and practices related to wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Is knowledgeable about current ostomy, prosthetics, and wound treatment modalities.
- Is a compassionate and empathetic caregiver.
- Is an excellent communicator and educator.
- Is a strong advocate for patients' needs.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
- Graduation from an accredited Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Education program (at hire or within 9 months from date of hire).
- One year of recent work experience in the practice of ET (WOC) nursing, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Licensure by the Washington State Board of Nursing required.
- Board certification in Wound, Ostomy, and/or Continence Nursing required.
- Current Health Care Provider BLS Certification required.
