Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Point of Service Coordinator, you will provide immediate assistance and administrative support to patients, ensuring smooth entry into healthcare services.

Daily, you will greet and assist patients with coverage questions and office protocols, verify and update demographics and insurance, register new patients, and accurately handle receivables and daily deposits.

Success in this role requires exceptional customer service, meticulous data and financial accuracy, strong insurance knowledge, and proficiency with scheduling systems.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable department, regulatory and safety standards related to POC activities in the hospital or clinic setting.

  • Participates in the implementation and validation associated with new lab equipment/instrumentation. Coordinates with vendors to include staff training.
  • Provides technical guidance to other laboratory staff and coordinates/participates in a variety of complex technical tasks to troubleshoot escalated problems/issues and determine quality control measures needed.
  • Assists in the competency review and/or directly reviews testing personnel. Conducts competency assessments by task or procedure and documents through a standard evaluation tool.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors in a chemical, physical, biological science, or laboratory medical technology and Four (4) years of related laboratory experience
  • Med Technologist - ASCP, upon hire or
  • Clinical Laboratory Technologist, upon hire or
  • Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP, upon hire or
  • Medical Laboratory Technician AMT, upon hire or
  • Medical Technologist AMT, upon hire
