The posted compensation range of $21.43 - $32.12 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Role:
The Perioperative Support Technician performs a variety of tasks to support the efficient and safe operation of the perioperative area. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: processing surgical instruments and equipment (disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, sterilization, and maintenance); maintaining inventory; ensuring a clean and sanitary operating room environment; and assisting with patient transport. The incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to [Weight] pounds, push and pull equipment weighing up to [Weight] pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. The ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential. Adherence to Standard Precautions and all safety protocols is required.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
One year of related work experience in an acute care hospital that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
Post-high school training specific to healthcare (i.e., central processing, health care assistant) preferred.
Work experience in perioperative or as a military medic/corpsman is preferred.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
