The posted compensation range of $32.08 - $46.51 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Provides services to injured workers early in their claim by coordinating return-to-work activities with all interested parties and assisting medical providers, injured workers and employers navigate the worker’s compensation system. The work includes: 1) acting as a liaison on behalf of the attending provider, and facilitating communication between the injured worker, employer, and claim manager to ensure questions and issues are addressed, 2) tracking specific claims in order to ensure early return-to-work services, care coordination, and improved clinical outcomes of injured workers and 3) identifying barriers to return-to-work and developing strategies to address them and 5) serving as a training resource, 6) developing and delivering presentations to expand community awareness of the COHE.
The work requires an excellent grasp of the rules and processes associated with the government funded workers’ compensation system and the ability to work as a neutral, knowledgeable advocate for all parties throughout the claim with the primary goal of reducing time loss while providing exceptional service. The incumbent will be required to attend all in-service education programs mandated by SLRI, state, and federal regulations and pursue educational activities to maintain a current level of knowledge and competency.
Qualifications
Education/ Work Experience:
Bachelors’ degree and three (3) years of experience in either direct patient care, return to work coordination, or occupational health care required.
