Responsibilities

About the Role:
As an Echo Technologist at St. Joseph Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.  You will perform a wide range of echocardiographic procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results that directly impact patient outcomes.  Our comprehensive services include:

  • Comprehensive 2D Echocardiograms:  Providing detailed images of the heart's structure and function.
  • Stress Echocardiograms:  Evaluating heart function under physical exertion.
  • Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE):  Utilizing advanced imaging techniques for detailed visualization.
  • Doppler Echocardiograms:  Assessing blood flow through the heart and its vessels.
  • Contrast Echocardiograms:  Enhancing image quality for improved diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations, adhering to established protocols and maintaining meticulous documentation.
  • Operate and maintain advanced echocardiography equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques.

Qualifications

About You:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Echo Technologist who possesses:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as an Echo Technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Current Registration by the ARMS or Current Certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonagrapher 
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS
  • Proficiency in performing all types of echocardiographic studies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
