Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
As a Night Shift CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Utilizing state-of-the-art computerized tomography (CT) scanners, you will produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues, assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire patient experience, from preparing and positioning patients to operating the equipment, administering contrast materials (where applicable), and ensuring accurate and timely documentation. You will also contribute to a positive patient and employee experience through your commitment to excellence and teamwork.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Execute all diagnostic CT studies using General Electric CT scanners and associated equipment.
- Follow established protocols, explaining procedures clearly to patients and addressing their questions.
- Provide compassionate patient care for all age groups, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist.
- Perform basic patient care, respond to emergencies, and document patient care notes and incident reports.
- Ensure patient comfort and radiation safety by utilizing appropriate procedures and accessories.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including data entry and billing information.
- Participate in quality assurance audits and activities.
- Maintain proficiency in CT technology through continuing education and professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology (including coursework in cross-sectional anatomy or demonstrated equivalent knowledge).
- One year of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
- American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) certification required.
- Current healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist registration required.
- CT registration preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in operating CT scanners and related software.
