Our Surgery Schedule Coordinator positions are critical to the success of St. Josephs Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.  It is expected that our employees demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
A Surgery Schedule Coordinator schedules elective surgery procedures for the surgery department and performs clerical duties.


Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum two to four (2-4) years experience in an OR/Surgical scheduling environment or OR scheduling
  • Medical Terminology knowledge and excellent spelling skills
  • Must be able to use initiative and independently organize work load priorities efficiently
  • Must have the ability to interface/work with people with a helpful understanding perspective
  • Must have neat and legible handwriting
  • Type 45 wpm
PREFERRED:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Prefer knowledge of scheduling procedures
  • Medical training emphasis
