The posted compensation range of $30.27 - $34.01 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Materials Tech, under the direction of Materials Management leadership, you will ensure efficient flow and sanitation of medical supplies and equipment.
Every day you will disinfect equipment/carts, then receive, store, issue, and deliver supplies, preparing items for shipping as needed. You'll perform daily par-level counts, data entry for issued stock, maintain tidy work areas, and participate in inventory/cycle counting.
To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory management systems. A commitment to maintaining a sterile, efficient environment and procedural adherence is essential.
- Accountabilities
- Conducts equipment disinfection and set-up per department policy and procedure.
- Collects and stages patient care equipment per department policy and procedure.
- Receives facility supplies, equipment and mail, insuring all documentation is complete and any problems with the shipments are identified.
- Documents supply and equipment receipts in the Materials Management Information System per policy and procedure prior to staging items for delivery.
- Conducts specialty cart replenishment per department procedure.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Two years or more experience working with large ERP systems.
- Six to twelve months of inventory management experience in a medical setting.
- Valid state driver license required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in English. Good numerical skills a must.
- Sound customer service techniques and practices, ability to communicate in a professional and articulate manner with internal and external partners at all levels both verbal and written, remain calm and courteous while handling problems, comfortable as a team member and informational leader, knowledge of Materials Management.
- Meets minimum competencies of the job classification within the orientation period.
Preferred:
- Exceeds Expectation performance evaluation for the last two years.
- Six to twelve months related work experience in a hospital stockroom or warehouse preferred.
- Forklift operation certification and/or experience.
