The posted compensation range of $35.48 - $41.11 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our EKG Tech, you will help physicians and healthcare staff by performing accurate and quality EKG exams so they can make informed decisions regarding patient cardiac health and provide the best possible care.
Every day you will perform EKG exams in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will be expected to utilize 12-lead Electrocardiograms, process event monitor transmissions, clean equipment, and send EKG reports to appropriate parties, all while ensuring patient comfort and maintaining accurate records.
To be successful in this role, you will possess knowledge of medical terminology, advanced computer skills, and basic arrhythmia, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and be proficient in 12-lead EKG.
- Performs EKG exams in both inpatient and outpatient settings producing accurate, quality tracings.
- Utilizes 12 - Lead Electrocardiograms including set-up, processing of paperwork, maintenance of equipment and use of MUSE System.
- Takes event monitor transmissions including processing, notifying charge nurse if there are suspected abnormalities.
- Sends EKG's or report requests out to the appropriate physician's office, patient files, etc.
- Performs event and holter monitor applications.
- Cleans patient monitors and cables when they are returned.
Required
- High School Graduate or GED
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

- Previous hospital and EKG experience
