The posted compensation range of $34.50 - $36.21 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

St. Josephs Behavioral Health Center is a licensed not-for-profit facility providing comprehensive behavioral health services for psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. We offer a 35-bed inpatient hospital day treatment and outpatient services. Our specially trained staff of board certified psychiatrists physicians and licensed professionals are committed to providing compassionate quality care and creating an atmosphere that fosters communication trust and personal growth.
Responsibilities
The Evaluator Coordinator is responsible for enhancing referrals and gathering and disseminating information collected during the incoming and outgoing Referral process. The Behavioral Evaluator is a resource person to the general public and community agencies for counseling and allied services. The Behavioral Evaluator acts as a liaison for the purpose of facilitating courteous and professional working relations among St. Joseph’s Behavioral health Center and other hospitals and agencies who serve as referral sources, including utilization review and managed care companies.
This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including a child, adolescent/teen, adult and geriatric patient population. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Qualifications
Experience:
- A minimum of one (1) year's recent experience as in a Psychiatric/Chemical Dependency setting conducting evaluations is preferred.
- Background and experience in the application of Crisis Theory Methodology and experience is preferred
Education:
- Associate’s Degree
- A Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health field such as Psychology, Social Work is preferred.
Special Skills:
- Must be computer literate and good detailed work and have proven ability to follow through on job responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups of people
- Ability to organize work in an environment with multiple demands and frequent interruptions.
