The posted compensation range of $61.86 - $61.86 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
The Clinical Engineering Tech performs testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of clinically used instrumentation and electronic systems essential to patient care and medical center operations. Ensures equipment functionality and safety in compliance with regulatory standards. Works under the supervision of the Chief or Lead Technician to support maintenance, performance optimization, and reliability of medical devices.
Qualifications
Experience required:
- Two (2) years' experience as a Biomedical/Clinical Engineering Technician.
Education Required:
- High School graduate with military technical schooling or two (2) years of college with major in electronics, Biomedical electronics or equivalent.
Special Skills and Training Required:
- Ability to communicate with workers and other members of Medical Center Staff, both oral and written.
- General knowledge of electronic circuitry and trouble-shooting techniques to include medical equipment and maintenance repair knowledge. Working on biomedical systems. Low end laboratory equipment experience in a plus.
