The posted compensation range of $38.96 - $44.06 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Assistant Occupational Therapist, you will provide designated occupational therapy-related services as outlined in the patient's plan of care, all under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Every day you will deliver care and service to a diverse patient population, ranging from acutely ill to rehabilitating individuals across neonatal through geriatric age groups.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a profound understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of each individual served, ensuring the provision of compassionate and effective therapy that supports their unique needs and promotes their recovery and well-being.
- Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
- Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
- Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
- Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
- Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
- Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures.
Job Requirements
Required
- Completion of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- CA Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
- Prior OT experience
- Orthopaedic Technologist Certified, upon hire
