The posted compensation range of $21.80 - $31.62 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Supervisor Billing Insurance at CHI St. Vincent Arkansas Neuroscience Institute, you will help billing-insurance staff resolve coding, billing, and insurance issues so they can ensure accurate claim submissions and maximize reimbursements for patient care services.
Every day, you will oversee the activities of the Billing-Insurance department, including resolving insurance denials, reviewing outpatient records, and ensuring proper coding for surgical and E&M procedures. You will be expected to guard against fraud, verify medical records for accuracy, and calculate physician productivity bonuses based on wRVUs.
To be successful in this role, you must have strong knowledge of coding and billing procedures, experience working with insurance claim denials, and advanced skills in medical coding and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all billing, coding, and insurance activities for ANI.
- Review and interpret outpatient records for diagnosis and procedures.
- Ensure coding accuracy to reflect provided services and apply official coding rules.
- Process insurance denials and calculate physicians' quarterly productivity bonuses.
- Stay updated on changes in pre-certification and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Biller (CPB) required.
- Completion of AAPC Advanced Neurology and Neurosurgery Coding Course.
- 3+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, and insurance claim processing, particularly in neurology and neurosurgery settings.
