The posted compensation range of $44.88 - $74.70/ hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
This job will support our Cardiac Rehabilitation program, utilizing 10-hr shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We operate a standard cardiac rehab program and, in addition, currently operate the only intensive cardiac rehab program in Washington.
This Cardiac Rehab RN position will:
- Work in conjunction with the Exercise Physiologist, and supervise exercise sessions, monitoring patients for inappropriate responses to exercise.
- Be responsible for the initial assessment of the patient, assist with the orientation of new patients, and collaborate in the development of the plan of care for the patient
- Be responsible for blood pressure checks on all patients before, during and after exercise, watching for abnormal responses on the telemetry device.
- Assesses patients before, during and after exercise, and makes appropriate referrals and/or recommendations to the patient, other staff, and Medical Director.
- Promptly report any significant patient conditions (arrhythmias, abnormal blood pressure responses, change in patient’s status, etc.) to physician supervising the program. Initiate ACLS measures and/or emergency care according to the hospital policy.
- Chart and document initial assessment and daily patient information and progress.
- Educate patients and/or family members as part of either the general Cardiac Rehabilitation or Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program.
- Check emergency supplies and equipment for proper function and adequate supply on a regular basis.
- Keep current in the field of Cardiac Rehabilitation through journals, in-services, and conferences, including completing annual competencies.
- Reflect the nursing process through an integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and attitudes needed to meet the needs of patients and families.
Job Requirements
Current Washington State licensure as an RN
CPR certification is required every two years
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
