Responsibilities

We're seeking a talented individual to operate nuclear imaging equipment and prepare radiopharmaceuticals. Your work will provide physicians with essential images of organs like the heart, helping them diagnose and plan effective treatment for our patients.

You'll ensure our imaging tools are always ready and stay current with the latest in nuclear medicine to deliver top-notch care.


Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program resulting in an associate's degree or bachelor’s degree.

Job Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the principles, standards and practices applicable to the field of nuclear medicine in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of the functionality, operation and maintenance of nuclear medicine tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of the current aspects of patient care relative to Nuclear Medicine
  • Knowledge of the content and application of regulatory requirements applicable to the function
  • Ability to understand and apply safety guidelines to mitigate risk and/or exposure in handling, storing and disposing of nuclear materials
  • Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures efficiently and effectively, ensuring that equipment is calibrated properly and dosage are appropriate.
    Ability to prepare and administer radio-pharmaceuticals in accordance with established department protocols
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position
  • Ability to use office equipment and automated systems/applications/software at an acceptable level
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by the duties of the position

Licensure/Certification:

  • Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (N)
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification
