We have a new full time opening in our thriving facial plastic & reconstructive surgery clinic. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Medical Assistant provides comprehensive medical and administrative support to the physicians and staff of our Facial and Reconstructive surgery clinic.  This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in facial plastic surgery and a desire to contribute to a positive patient experience.

  • Clinical Responsibilities:
    • Assist physicians with various procedures, including but not limited to: Botox injections, filler injections, minor surgical procedures, gender affirming facial procedures and wound care.
    • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, taking photos and explaining pre- and post-operative instructions.
    • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
    • Assist with room preparation and post-procedure cleanup.
    • Maintain accurate and organized patient charts, both electronic and paper.
    • Adhere strictly to all infection control and safety protocols.
    • Assist with inventory management of medical supplies.
    • Properly dispose of biohazardous waste.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow.
    • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
    • Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
    • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) license for the State of WA.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Associate's degree in medical assisting preferred.
  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; ideally in a dermatology or plastic surgery setting.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (Cerner/EPIC)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with injections (preferred, but not required).
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
