Responsibilities

This position sets up the interior of the hyperbaric chamber and provides the highest and safest quality of care for hyperbaric patients.

- Accompanies patients in the chamber, treats per physician orders and maintains patient's comfort and safety.
- Assembles patient and staff breathing circuits.
- Cleans patient care equipment per standard process.
- Asseses patient before dive and documents after dive.
- Completes pre- and post-dive activities checklist and ensures chamber readiness for next dive.


Qualifications

This position requires recent medical training as an EMT, corpsman, medic or LPN. This position also requires strong interpersonal skills; physical strength to move and lift patients and equipment. Employment is contingent upon certification of physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position without hazard to self or others. Such certification must be renewed no later than every two years. A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.
