The posted compensation range of $34.00 - $50.58 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
- As our Medical Lab Scientist, you will help the medical staff and caregiversanalyze and report complex tests so they can aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Every day you will execute a wide range of analytical procedures across various lab disciplines (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.). You will be expected to analyze specimens, operate/maintain instruments, perform and report complex test procedures, provide excellent patient care through clinical correlation and rapid critical value notification, act as a 'group leader' assisting other staff, train new employees and students, and be responsible for quality control and supply inventory.
- To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong scientific foundation, advanced technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail, with a paramount commitment to accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Required
- Bachelors Of Science in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA. and 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory., upon hire
