The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $29.90 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
About This Position
In keeping with Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Unit Clerk/Monitor Observer
observes and recognizes cardiac rhythms. Operates central monitoring equipment properly and is able
to troubleshoot minor equipment problems. Notifies nurse of changes in patient cardiac rhythm.
Properly reports any equipment malfunctioning. Serves as a unit receptionist, transcribes orders,
orders tests, orders supplies, inventory and coordinates unit telephone communication. Assembles and
maintains and files of Emergency Department Patient Medical Records.
Qualifications
- Experience in an acute care setting with in the previous two years. Unit Clerk without recent acute care experience will be considered on an individual basis.
- Previous Unit Clerk experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Completion of approved Unit Clerk course or equivalent (i.e., Medical Assistant).
- Successful completion of MMC Monitor Observer exam for Emergency Department and successful completion of annual Monitor Observer Exam.
- CPR -BLS certiifcation within 30 days from hire date.
