The posted compensation range of $55.99 - $68.93 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. Your role is vital for improving patient outcomes.
Every day you will assess respiratory status, implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management), and educate patients/families. You'll document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency. Excellent communication for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a commitment to safety and continuous development, are essential.
- Attends 80% of staff development meetings on a yearly basis.
- Actively participates in department committees task forces.
- Completes all mandatory competency checklists and certifications.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for pursuing continued training/education in response to personal assessment and ever changing medical technology and treatment.
- Evaluates own performance and seeks validation resulting in positive change. Provides feedback to peers in a formal and informal review process as a team member expectation.
- Performs advanced neonatal respiratory care as demonstrated by performance of standard neonatal respiratory skills, intensive care skills and emergency resuscitation skills.
Job Requirements
Required
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience ina Community or Regional NICU.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 30 Days
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 30 Days
Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist, upon hire
- Stable Program, upon hire and
- Neonatal-Pediatric Specialty Respiratory Therapist, upon hire
