The posted compensation range of $41.14 - $61.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Every day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To be successful in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Performs routine diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician
- Performs fluoroscopy/minor special procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician
- Demonstrates competence in film-processing pro-cedures
- Demonstrates appropriate administering and monitor-ing of radiopaque material per PHC standards
- Places orders in the HIS system, making all additions, corrections, and cancellations as necessary
- Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required
Required:
- One (1) year experience as a certified Radiologic Technologist
- New graduates with clinical experience through approved ARRT Radiologic Technology program will be considered on an individual basis
- Medical Radiographer: CA
- Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
Must have working knowledge of diagnostic imaging equipment.
Must also know departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians and the patient population.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Self motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.
