The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $27.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an ED Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.
Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ED.
- ASSESSMENT/PLANNING
- Takes vital signs, height and weight. Records on appropriate charting form
- Reports observations regarding patient's status to the registered nurse. Identifies and responds to urgent/emergent situations.
- Assists in patient admission, transfer or discharge
- Moves, lifts, ambulates and transports patients safely.
- Assists physicians and nursing staff with assigned procedures
Required
- Current CNA, EMT, or valid ParamedicLicense., upon hire
- Certified Nursing Assistant: CA, upon hire
- Emergency Medical Technician: CA, upon hire
- Orthopaedic Technologist Certified, upon hire
- Orthopedic Technologist Registered, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
Preferred
- Acute Care experience preferred., upon hire
