Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Manages the daily operation of all services of the Respiratory Therapy Department. Coordinates the activities of the assigned departments with other departments within the facility. Recruits, hires and retains qualified staff. Manages the daily operations of the Respiratory Care Department to
ensure compliance to all standards of practice and licensing/regulatory requirements. Develops and implements strategies in operational improvements and/or new services that are consistent with organizational strategic and business development planning.
Manages existing programs, as well as program development, implementation of new respiratory programs and assessment/revision of existing programs in keeping with a changing health care environment.
Plans, organizes, and supervises the daily activities of the Respiratory Department , including volunteers and respiratory therapy students, to ensure consistency with standards of practice; licensing/regulatory standards; department policies; and service needs of the facility.
Prepares the annual department budget and ensures compliance to operational expectations and productivity standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in related field. Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- License as a Respiratory Therapist
