The posted compensation range of $31.15 - $35.47 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
You will be successful in this role if you consistently maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control while following safety protocols and departmental guidelines. Success also depends on reliability, attention to detail, flexibility to take on additional tasks, timely reporting of maintenance issues, and a proactive approach to responding to emergencies and supporting a safe, healthy environment for patients and staff.

- Cleans floors, walls, ceiling, windows, furniture, equipment according to established procedures.
- Ensures that assigned areas are clean, attractive and safe for patients, visitors and staff.
- Cleans occupied or discharged patient rooms thoroughly.
- Accurately ensures supplies are replenished and furniture is in an orderly arrangement.
- Collects regular and medical waste using established safety practices ensuring protection of self.
- Collects soiled linen throughout the facility using appropriate body mechanics and safe handling equipment.
- Demonstrates complete knowledge of Medical Waste handling and proper needle handling and disposal.
REQUIRED:
- On the job training with one week of intensive training before any assignment is made.
- Ability to read and write English and follow oral instructions.
PREFERRED:
- One year of housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hospital, medical facility or a convalescent facility
- Driver's License: CA
