Job Summary and Responsibilities
Assists Emergency Department Nurses and Physicians in delivering high quality patient centered care, and maintains supplies and equipment in the Emergency department. This position also functions as a unit coordinator providing clerical support.
As an ED Tech, you will provide crucial support and direct patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, ensuring efficient operations and compassionate assistance during critical moments.
Every day you will expertly assist with patient admissions and discharges, perform vital signs and basic medical procedures, maintain a clean and organized environment, and meticulously document observations to support the nursing staff and physician team.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ED.

- Reports and documents all care rendered to patient, patient/family.
- Reports and documents all changes in patients conditions including behavior and psychosocial.
- Utilizes Chain of Command appropriately as needed.
- Demonstrates ability to measure and record vital signs, including orthostatics.
- Demonstrates knowledge of vital sign ranges in all ranges and notifies licensed nursing staff of any abnormal vital sign.
- Demonstrates ability to accurately measure and record weights on all patients in ED.
Job Requirements
Required
- One year previous direct patient care in an emergency department, ambulance,fire or emergent pre-hospital setting
Preferred
- EKG experience
