The posted compensation range of $59.16 - $70.65 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Every day you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Utilizes proper equipment (gurney, wheelchair, Hoyer-Lift, etc.) to safely transport patient.
- Performs all routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures. Performs all routine CT or IR procedures.
- Assigns all patient charges appropriately
- Assigns all patient charges appropriately.
- Records/reviews all techniques/procedures as required.
Required
- At least one year of experience as a staff technologist and performs all routine and emergency radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and operates the CT scanner for limited procedures
- Call is required
- Able to perform basic IR procedures and take call
- Must meet all Rad Tech I and Rad Tech II competencies.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Completion of California State Certification requirements (CRT)
- Fluoroscopy permit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Preferred
- 3 years of experience as a staff technologist
- Bachelors of Science in Radiologic Science
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology (RTN)
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT)
