Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Cardiovascular Technologist, you will perform crucial cardiovascular diagnostic procedures, providing physicians with vital data for accurate diagnoses and effective patient treatment plans. Your specialized skills ensure precise image acquisition and measurements, directly impacting patient care and outcomes.
Every day you will expertly operate complex diagnostic equipment, performing non-invasive cardiovascular studies, preparing patients, and meticulously documenting findings for interpretation. Responsibilities include adhering to safety protocols, maintaining equipment, managing scheduling, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team.
To succeed, you'll need exceptional technical proficiency in diagnostics, strong critical thinking for data interpretation, and excellent communication for patient education and collaboration. A profound commitment to patient safety, diagnostic accuracy, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential.

- Recognizes complications from catheterization and initiates appropriate intervention with RN.
- Identifies symptoms and interventions of contrast reactions.
- Interprets EKG tracings, BP and heart waveforms.
- Recognizes arrhythmias and assists RN and MD as appropriate with treatment.
- Identifies proper use and knowledge of all necessary equipment and procedure set-ups.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or GED and Two years of Cardiovascular technologistexperience which involved ECG instrumentation, interpretation and hemodynamic recording equipment
- Interventional Radiology experience may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis
- Medical Radiographer: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
- Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, within 12 - months
Preferred
- Certified Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Coder
