The posted compensation range of $47.82 - $70.15 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. - Actively participates in activities.
- Attends 90% of staff meetings and 70% of Cancer Center Initiated events (Educational and Community events)
- Provides effective leadership, organization and oversight for assigned Cancer Center Programs, including Support Groups, Lecture Series, Tumor Board and Quarterly Newsletter as assigned. a. Prepares outlines, handouts, etc. appropriate to the needs of population. b. Provides professional, timely products as directed (Support Group Meetings, Quarterly Newsletter Publication, Presentations for patients, community, professional education/ Community Colleges, etc.). c. Routinely seeks feedback from customers and documents process improvement efforts. d. Maintains appropriate documentation and statistics; reporting them as requested/required.
- Maintains technical expertise by actively participating in a variety of cancer related continuing education opportunities, utilizing professional resources (journals, etc.).
- Shares technical expertise with colleagues and community through active participation in educational presentations (patients, family members, public forums, professional inservices).
- Collaborates with Community Agencies: a. Serves as community agency Liaison as assigned or desired. b. Coordinates programs with other community agencies, as directed, to increase access to patient and family support resources.
Job Requirements
Required
- Other Graduate of an accredited RN program
- 6 years clinical Med/Surg Nursing
- Registered Nurse: CA RN
- Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing (BSN) preferred
- National Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) or obtain OCN certification within 2 years of hire
- Experience with administrative and/or educational nursing role highly desired
- 3 years of recent clinical experience in Oncology.
- In lieu of oncology experience,the following qualifications must be met:
- 1. Obtain ONS Bio/Chemo Certificationwithin 60 days of hire
- 2. Obtain Navigation Certification within 2 years of hire which may include one of the following:
- a. Oncology Nurse Navigator-CertifiedGeneralist (ONN-CG)
- b. Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN)
- c. American Cancer Society Leadership in Oncology Navigation (ACSLION)
