Director of Executive Protection
The posted compensation range of $51.81 - $75.13 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Every day, you will ensure the safety and security of our CEO and our corporate office. Your security detail could include:
- Daily travel coordination
- Pre-trip planning
- Route selection
- Site security surveys if applicable
- Facilitating the smooth pick-up and drop-off (Residence, Airport, Meeting Locations)
To succeed in this role, you must remain calm and take action based on the situation. You will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, adapt to dynamic situations, and be committed to the safety and security of our executives.
In this role you will need to be located in the Bay Area or be willing to relocate within 60 days of hire.
This role does require domestic travel 50% (with possible International travel).
Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility is to provide close protection, and ensure the safety, and security of the Chief Executive Officer.
- Maintain communication with the CEO , and the SVP/Chief of Security, Safety, and Emergency Management Officer regarding all aspects of protection operation processes
- Collaborate with other Security leaders internally and externally
- Travel domestically and possibly internationally
- Provide first aid if needed
- Communicate and oversee the day to day tasks assigned
- Operate the security vehicle in a safe and legal manner.
- Conduct ongoing threat, risk and vulnerability assessments prior to business travels
- Site advances, and surveys prior to travel (only if applicable)
- Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment
- Accepts 24/7 responsibility for the security and executive protection function
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice Safety Administration Emergency Management or a combination of education and/or job related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Five (5) years security, military or law enforcement experience, two (2) of which must have been as an Executive Protection position and driving preferred.
Licensure:
- Valid State Driver License
- Workplace Violence Training required (completed within 6 months of hire)
- Obtain a state guard card within 45 days of employment.
- Able to obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW) if needed.
- CPR/First Aid (completed within 30 days of hire)
