Responsibilities
The Ultrasound Technician - Per Diem, under the general supervision of the Director of Medical Imaging, is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images. This role involves monitoring equipment operations and promptly reporting unresolved issues to the Director of Medical Imaging to ensure optimal functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols to produce accurate and high-quality imaging results.
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, reporting unresolved technical issues to the Director of Medical Imaging.
- Actively support the Mission and Core Values of Community Hospital of San Bernardino through professional conduct and service excellence.
- Contribute to the hospital’s strategic plan and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) required within the first 18 months of hire
- AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- Experience in an acute care hospital performing a variety of ultrasound examinations is preferred.
- Completion of the educational hours and Graduation from an accredited school of Ultrasonography.
