Responsibilities

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab Perioperative Assistant in conjunction with input from the nursing team will assist in providing for department and room readiness at the start of the day and throughout the day. The Perioperative Assistant will transport and transfer patients in a safe manner with consideration given to patients needs for courtesy dignity and confidentiality. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Centers strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.


Qualifications
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) & Basic Arrhythmia Certification must be acquired within 60 days of commencement OR Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)  & Basic Arrhythmia Certificate required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)- American Heart Association 
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification Required as listed above based on licensure
