St. Luke's Health-Memorial San Augustine has consistently earned the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services certification which demonstrates compliance with the highest standards of care. The staff of this 18-bed acute care hospital, located at 511 East Hospital Street, maintains its focus on quality care and delivering only the best to the community they call home.
In addition to emergency care, St. Luke's Health-Memorial San Augustine offers comprehensive diagnostic testing, including MRI, CT, and digital mammography, and telemedicine allows Lufkin radiologists to interpret tests sent electronically from San Augustine. Located on campus is a fully accredited dialysis center, which is owned and operated by Sankar Nephrology.
Responsibilities
Job Summary:
TheRegisteredNurseIIpractices as a full partner on the multidisciplinary team. Independently plans, implements, and evaluates patient care and performs related duties as required. Assesses patient's needs fornursingcare, assures continuity of care through appropriate discharge planning, patient education and coordination of services, and acts as a patient and family advocate. Demonstrates and models the full range ofnursingprofessional practice in both patient care provided and in development of strategies to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and cost effectiveness at the unit level.
This patient population contains various levels of acuity requiring individualized care plans. Thisnursingteam is highly skilled in delivering care and bringing compassion to the care plan. Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree inNursingor Diploma from an accreditednursingprogram
- CurrentRegisteredNurse(RN) license applicable to the State of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtained within 90 days of hire date
- Minimum one (1) year ofRNexperience
PRN Requirements
- PRN employees must maintain minimum standard availability, in which to perform work as follows:
- Four (4) shifts per month
- Two (2) of the Four (4) shifts occurring on a Weekend
- One (1) Winter Holiday
- One (1) Summer Holiday"
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
