Our Clinical Lab Technologists positions are critical to the success of Mark Twain St. Joseph's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.  It is expected that our employees demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

The clinical lab technologist is responsible for generalized and specialized assignments or functions in clinical laboratory technology.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology
  • Completed a one (1) year internship in a state approved program
  • Must possess a valid California Clinical Laboratory Medical Technologist license
  • Current AHA and CPR certification is required
  • Must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge in all areas of medical technology utilized by Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital
  • Must possess problem solving skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to work with a team and prioritize work
  • Able to interact appropriately with others
  • Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions
  • Ability to read work product of others, computer/ monitor screens, and computer printouts
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail
