Founded in 1951 Mark Twain Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital providing inpatient acute care outpatient services and emergency services including Speciality Care Centers and four community Medical Centers. Responsibilities

Provides administrative/secretarial support; compiles, calculates various department statistics; takes, transcribes, distributes minutes; orders and stocks office supplies. Plans events, schedules travel, supports special projects. Manages multiple calendars, arranges meetings, answers phones, and prepares documents for accounts payable. Covers for other Administrative Assistants and the Executive Assistant to the President when assigned. Promotes hospital in community through participation in community events. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum two years administrative/computer experience required.
  • High school diploma/GED

Skills:

  • Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality Critical Thinking Skills.
  • Operation of calculator and proficient with spreadsheets and creating documents.
  • Able to create multimedia presentations.
  • High level of concentration and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work, able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions and ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects from multiple individuals.
  • Able to meet deadlines, polite and courteous telephone manner.

Preferred:

  • College, trade school or technical school course work.
