The posted compensation range of $17.00 - $23.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Rehab Aide, you will provide direct and indirect patient care duties under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, ensuring smooth and efficient treatment of patients.
Every day you will assist with patient contact activities, perform support services such as scheduling, filing, stocking supplies, tracking data, equipment maintenance, and cleaning, and assist with treatment set-up and take-down. You will also participate in program development and enhance your skills.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to supporting therapists and patients, and the ability to manage diverse support services effectively.
- Performs/assures functionally based safe and appropriate treatments/tasks which are directly supervised by the therapist.
- Recognizes changes in patient status and reports these to appropriate professional staff in a timely manner.
- Interacts with patients/families in a positive, professional manner.
- Cleans and maintains equipment, treatment and other rooms per protocols.
- Able to organize, prioritize, complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, including patient care, maintenance, cleaning responsibilities in a calm, professional manner.
- Inventories supplies - monitoring and stocking exercise and form files and supplies; advising appropriate person of items needed ordering.
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Previous OT and PT rehab tech experience in an IP and OP environment.
- Experience working with orthopedic, neurological and medical patients.
- Previous medical terminology or background education in related field.
