Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

- Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
- Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
- Communicates clearly and effectively using proper communication etiquette. Uses medical terminology accurately. Includes reporting abnormals or change in patient condition to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- When within scope of practice to correct quality concerns do so immediately and report to nursing management team. If not within scope of practice report quality concern immediately to management team for assistance or direction.
- Adheres to the policies, procedures and standards in the delivery of the planned resident's care in the preparation and administration of medications and treatments as ordered by the Physician daily.
- Demonstrates clinical ability to identify changes and/or abnormal signs and symptoms of the aged, acutely or chronically ill and initiates prompt follow up with Physician, resident and/or responsible party and with appropriate documentation with 95-98% accuracy and timeliness daily in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in care of the aged, acutely ill, chronically ill, and patients in need of restorative care.
- Current California RN License
- Current BLS certification (through the American Heart Association)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate proficiently both orally and in writing in the English language
- Knowledge in the principles of nursing care within the RN, LVN, and CNA scope of practice
- Working knowledge of Title 22 OBRA regulations and Joint Commission requirements
Preferred:
- SNF/LTC one (1) year supervision of nursing personnel
Bruceville Terrace has been providing quality, compassionate care since 1989. Licensed as the 171-bed skilled nursing facility of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, Bruceville Terrace offers care for the elderly, as well as those requiring extended recoveries.
Bruceville Terrace provides skilled nursing, rehabilitative and complex medical services to our patients and residents using an interdisciplinary team approach. Over half of the facility is dedicated to skilled nursing/convalescent care, while the remaining beds are committed to meet the medical and rehabilitative needs of the short-term patient after a stay at the acute care hospital.
