The posted compensation range of $23.00 - $23.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Resident Services Manager the Resident Care Aide performs resident care duties in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Mercy McMahon Terrace as well as its established policies and procedures.
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
- Receives report from previous shift and organizes shift assignments.
- Admits transfers and discharges residents.
- Assists residents with:
- Toileting and dressing activities (skin care bathroom help weights etc.)
- Bedmaking and tidying of unit
- Eating unit trays nourishments
- Makes regular rounds for appropriate patients.Takes temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure vitals. Monitors residents remaining in units for temporary illnesses such as a cold flu etc. Sees that these residents have trays delivered to them for each meal. Observes reports documents any changes noted with resident to Resident Services Manager and /or Director or LVN on duty. Answers emergency call signals. Charts in individual Resident Care Chart when appropriate. Completes incident report when applicable. Informs manager of any charges for any medical supplies given to residents.
- Assists community agencies such as Hospice/Home Care in providing care to residents.
- Assists relatives visitors and guests and directs requests or concerns to appropriate person.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other departments. Interact in a supportive collaborative manner with all
MMT team members. - Perform other duties as instructed by Administration.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and work with the population of Mercy McMahon Terrace
- Ability to learn and perform resident care procedures according to the approved manual
- Able to understand and follow oral and written procedures and instructions
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
